This site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA, on servers in the EU (Frankfurt region). When you open a page, your browser automatically transmits data that the provider stores in log files: the requested URL, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, time of the request, and the IP address in shortened form. This processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in a site that is stable and safe to operate. Log data is deleted after 30 days at the latest. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR and the EU standard contractual clauses are in place with Vercel.

We set no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. Two entries are written to your browser’s local storage, and only after you choose: one recording your answer to the cookie banner, one recording whether you asked for the map to be loaded. Both stay on your device, are never transmitted to us, and can be removed at any time by clearing site data in your browser. The legal basis is § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, as these entries are strictly necessary to honour the choice you made.

The map on the contact panel is not loaded until you press the button for it. Before then no request leaves your browser for OpenStreetMap. Once you press it, the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge CB4 0WS, United Kingdom, receives your IP address and the technical data your browser sends. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time by clearing site data.

The typefaces Climate Crisis and Archivo are served from our own domain. No connection is made to Google Fonts servers and no data reaches Google when you view this site.

When you send the form on this site we receive the name, email address, pronouns (if given), the class or course you are interested in, your stated experience and your message. We use them for one purpose: to answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns a booking, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Enquiries are deleted six months after the exchange ends unless a contract came out of them, in which case commercial retention periods of six or ten years apply (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO).

Pronouns are optional and are only ever used to address you correctly. We do not ask for and do not want data on gender identity, sexual orientation, health or ethnic origin. Please do not send it to us; if you do, we delete it.

To walk a category we need your walker name, the category and a contact address, on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Results — category, walker name, house and score — are published on this site as a public record of the ball, on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If you would rather your name did not appear, tell us and we will remove it; ask before the ball and we will list the result under your house alone.

Photography and filming at a ball happen only with announced photographers who are visibly marked, and never in the changing areas. Photographs of identifiable people are published on the basis of consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future.

Personal data is passed on only to our hosting provider (Vercel), our email provider (mailbox.org, Heinlein Support GmbH, Berlin) and, where a payment is made by card at the desk, our payment service provider. All of them act as processors under Art. 28 GDPR. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used for advertising.

You have the right to information (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Where processing rests on consent you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. Write to hallo@vogue-haus-koeln.de and we will answer within one month.

You may also complain to a supervisory authority. The one responsible for us is: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf.

Our classes are for adults. People aged 16 and 17 may attend and may register to walk with the written agreement of a parent or guardian, who is the person who submits the enquiry. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

This site is delivered exclusively over TLS (HTTPS). Access to enquiries is limited to the two managing directors.
